Fitwalking for AIL, the non-competitive charity walk, 28-29 September

The appointment with Fitwalking for AIL, the non-competitive charity walk created to celebrate World Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia Day and organised to raise funds for research and assistance to blood cancer patients and their families, returns to Trieste.

 

41st Due Castelli Trophy, 29 September

This historic regatta takes place in the stretch of sea between Duino Castle and Miramare Castle, two landmarks of the Julian capital. Starting from Duino Castle, participants will set sail towards Miramare and then round the course marker buoys and finally return to Duino.

Trieste Next 2024, 27 – 29 September

Trieste Next is the festival of scientific research in Trieste. Once again this year, numerous events (in both Italian and English) will take place in the marvellous setting of Piazza Unità d’Italia and other atmospheric locations. There will be numerous guests, some of them very famous and illustrious, such as the Nobel Prize winner for Physics Andrej Gejm, the Oscar winner Nicola Piovani, the former Minister Elsa Fornero, the Senator Elena Cattaneo and the tireless presence of the Rector of the University of Trieste Roberto Di Lenarda. 

The main themes of this edition include the focus on bio-high-tech and digital-high-tech companies dedicated to innovation in the field of biomedicine and the ‘Business and AI’ cycle of sessions dedicated to analysing the impact of artificial intelligence on the world of work, with the participation of Michael I. Jordan, one of the most renowned scientists in the field. There will also be presentations on the development of the human brain, our health, nutrition, sustainability and robotics.
